| JMC continues drive against use of polythene carry bags | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Mar 5: Following instructions from K L Khajuria Commissioner Municipal Corporation Jammu, intensified the drive in order to curb the violations, the Enforcement Wing of Jammu inspected shops / other outlets in these areas and seized the polythene carry bags. An amount of Rs. 5300/- (Rupees five thousand and three hundred) was realized as compounding fee from 15 Nos. of defaulters on spot, spokesperson said.
Apart from this the JMC Enforcement wing sealed the premises on ground floor of S. Deedar Singh at 75-A, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu and the sealing of premises had been undertaken under the provisions of J&K Control of Building Operation Act, 1988.
Besides this, while further continuing and intensifying the Anti Encorachment drive to clear the footpaths / pavements, parts of road sides the team visited of Below Gumat, Vinayak Bazar, Jewel Chowk, BC Road and seized huge quantity of goods/articles. |
