Civil Defence training concludes | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 5: Five days basic Civil Defence training concluded at Khargala, Kalakote today. Over 140 students of Netaji Memorial High School Khargala, Kalakote were imparted five days basic civil defense training at Khargala here. On the valedictory function Mohd Zaffer, chairman of the school was the Chief Guest. Suresh Kumar Chib Dy. Controller Civil Defence Rajouri in his address threw light on the importance and role of civil defence volunteers in the society. He said that every citizen must get civil defence training. He also added that the civil defence training played a very important role in rural areas for curbing various kinds of disaster and such type of training is helpful in developing potential among the people to tackle the different types of disaster. He also added that such type of training is being organized in far flung areas of the district in future also. In his valedictory address Mohd. Zaffer, Chief Guest of the function thanked the civil defence organization for organizing such type of training in the school. He also impressed upon the participants to serve the society by joining civil defence. In the five days training participants were trained in first aid, fire fighting, emergency rescue methods, and also made aware regarding precautions taken during different disaster and knowledge regarding do's and don'ts in case of snake bite. Among others who were present on the occasions were vice principal, staff members, civil defence instructors and students. |
