SSB organizes General ConventionMadan Lal pleads for absorption of volunteers in Belt Force organizations | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 5: Jammu and Kashmir Shaster Seema Bal (SSB) Volunteers Welfare Association organized a general convention at Roopnagar here today. Member of Parliament (MP) Madan Lal Sharma and Vice Chairman Other Backward Classes (OBC) Kuldeep Raj Verma addressed the gathering as chief guests. A large number of SSB volunteers coming all the way from Nowshera, Poonch, Surankote, Rajouri, Sundrbani, Dawan, Samba, Vijaypore, Akhnoor, R. S. Pora, Hira nagar and Bani Basohli participated in the convention and projected their demands for redressal by the state and central governments. Speaking on the occasion, MP Sham Lal Sharma appreciated the services delivered by SSB volunteers, particularly by extending every assistance to the Security Forces in fighting the militancy in the state. He said that these rural youth deserve great appreciation and encourgement for the selfless service they rendered to the state and society. He strongly pleaded for their absorption in the state police department, Forest Protection Force or Industrial Security Force considering the yeoman job they have done for the country and society. Speaking on the occasion, the vice- chairman OBC, Kuldeep Raj Verma also highlighted the contribution of the SSB. He called upon the female SSB volunteers to avail benefits of various women centered schemes to raise their financial conditions. He advised them to approach organizations like Women Development Corporation which has a blend of schemes for the women folk. On the occasion Ex-MLA Thakur Shiv Dev Singh, Chairman SSB V.K.Nand, DIG (Retd) K.D.Singh, former Corporator Uttam Chand, PCC General Secretary Zafarullah and the Presidents of various circles addressed the gathering. |
