In comparison to other political parties in India, Congress is the only political party in the country which seems completely in the state of confusion in respect of political ideology . The workers of this largest party of the country rely only on Gandhi family instead of the political ideology of the party . For the past sixty years, the Gandhi family's charisma had been working . Whenever and wherever Congress workers felt any trouble they invited member of Gandhi family and the tables were seen turned . But now, the situation is quite different which is evident from the UP assembly polls where Gandhi family failed to save even their family constituencies despite the fact that whole of the Gnadhi family brigade was personally in the battle field and was fighting from the front . Even this was accepted by Congress's would be prime ministerial candidate and prince of the family, Rahul Gandhi saying that he was fighting from the front.
Had it been fight between families and personalities, then the Akhlesh Yadov son of Mulaayam Singh Yadov had no comparison with Rahul Gandhi . And Yadov family would have left the field much earlier, but it was the battle of ideologies which Rahul Lacked and Akhlesh had . In fact Congress party lacks clear cut political ideology due to which the party met with the debacle and there seems no good future too. Political analysts in the country say that this party is in complete state of confusion and is yet to decide its clear agenda for the present India when multiple regional forces have emerged from each corner of the country. This party is not hit by the communal forces alone, even the major threat it faces right now is from secular forces from the country . The reason is that this party has miserably failed to convince the masses about its agenda and ideology. For instance, Bhartiya Janta Party and its allied groups have a clear agenda of what they call pro Hindu. Similarly, the left parties like Communists have their clear ideology of socialism etc .
But the Congress party is neither clear communal nor secular. It has always been playing 50-50 game of dishonesty. With the result, the party has lost its trust among all the communities in the country .
Now the party has not much threat from the clear communal forces but it has threat from the secular forces like Samaaj Wadi party of Mulayaam Singh and others .
The results of UP assembly elections are sufficient proof of the fact that the party has not lost elections due to its bad candidates or corruption but it has lost elections due to the bankruptcy of the political ideology of the party . If the UP electorates would have voted against corruption then BSP would not have got 80 seat and finished second . It is clear that BJP got only its communal pockets and BSP got schedule cast factor of the state . And Samaajwadi Party swoop elections on its secular policy and agenda . The Congress finished as worst looser because it failed to present clear cut agenda of the party before the masses . Even once , party leader and Muslim face in the state Salmaan Khurshiued tried to woo Muslim voters saying that his leader Sonia Gandhi had wept on Batla house encounter , despite that he could not attract Muslims towards him. Not only this , his statement was rejected by many Congress leaders whci gave the impression that he was telling all this at his own to woo the voters. The confusion of the party can be gauged with the fact that this party failed to present even a chief ministerial candidate till the elections were over . In such situation, the time has come when Congress party must set its agenda and ideology for the future instead of relying only on Gandhi family . It is not the age of personalities or fight of personalities
, it is the age of ideas . You can not convince the people to follow families in the age of 21st century and in a democratic set up we are living in . In the present times we will have to give clear cut agenda and ideology to the masses . The writings on wall suggest that Congress has no future in the country if it relied only on Gandhi family instead of setting its clear agenda and ideology for the country .
