''No party is in a position to resolve Kashmir issue individually: Vakil | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Baramulla, Mar 7: Former Minister and Member AICC Abdul Gani Vakil today asserted that no political party is in a position to resolve the Kashmir issue individually and all has to understand K-issue can only be resolved when all the parties including separatists will sit together considering the aspirations of all the three regions. Vakil said dialogue is only resolution to move ahead to resolve all issues relating to Jammu and Kashmir amicably in accordance with the aspirations of the people of State. Vakil said If any party alone tries to make the people believe that they can resolve the Kashmir issue then, it is only be-fooling them,'' he added. While addressing party District Convention at Sheerwani Hall Baramulla, Vakil said "Congress Presi-dent Smt Sonia Gandhi has envisioned Khushhaal Jam-mu and Kashmir which would be an inspiration for other states of the country." For her Jammu and Kashmir has to become a model state on all accounts," he asserted and added Congress committed to equitable development along with peaceful and respectable settlement of all pending issues. Stressing for his stand against corruption in the state, the former Minister said Congress cannot be silent on corruption issue. Vakil appreciated present Government headed by Omar Abdullah but at the same time he urged chief minister for taking serious steps in this regard. "My fight is not against any individual but it is against corruption" Vakil maintained. He stressed upon the Chief Minister to fulfill his commitment of absorbing 50,000 youth in different departments .Besides others who addressed the include General Secretary J&K PCC Dr Abdul Ahad Yatoo, Senior Congress leaders Haji Mohammad Afzal Khan, Ghulam Nabi Shah, Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Sum-bali, Youth Congress leader Altaf Ahmad Malik and several others. |
