Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 9 : Despite tall claims of coalition in the state, people of the state are without basic facilities of day to day use. Five villages of Saini Bati Teh Banihal district Ramban is one such dark chapter of the massive development of the state. These villages have been deprived of electricity. It will look strange but it is a fact that only electricity transformer is lying idle installed near government high school without any trace of electric pole and wires. There is complete blackout in these villages for last 10 years with state government authorities sleeping over the issue.
As stated by Anar Singh and other resident of this hapless area the poles after installation were uprooted in 2002 at the behest of local politician to revenge for not casting vote in favour of a particular party. The people further revealed that so many representations by the people were thrown in the dustbin to make poor residents suffer for no fault of theirs. Even recommendations of the MP have not borne any fruit. leaders of the area are not bothered about the plight.
Narrating the tale of woes Anar singh said the residents of five villages have become the victims of dirty politics as the local leader is hell-bent to deprive the villagers of power supply and he is dogging the authorities who want to help the people by restoring power supply he added.
The residents appealed to chief minister, sought his immediate intervention in the matter failing which they will be forced to launch a massive agitation. They want to convey the young CM to personally intervene in the matter so that their sufferings are mitigated.
