Three minors held for stealing mobile phones | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 9 : Three minors were Thursday apprehended by police at Rajpura near Ghagwal in Samba for allegedly stealing mobile phones worth over Rs 37,000 from a shop in the area last month. Police sources said nine mobile phones worth Rs 37,641 were stolen from the shop of Arjun Kumar, son of Sher Singh, at Rajpura on Februay 14 night. The thieves had entered the shop by breaking the locks of the shutter, the sources added. After Arjun brought the matter to the notice of Ghagwal police station, cops started a probe into the case. During the course of investigation, cops laid hands on one of the suspects who, during interrogation, confessed to have committed the burglary along with his two associates. The cops then apprehended his associates also. All are in the age group of nine to 12 years. Their interrogation led the cops to the recovery of all the nine mobile phones which they had allegedly stolen from the shop. A case under sections 457 and 380 of RPC was registered against them at Ghagwal police station. |
