| No smoking at public places, squad fine 25 persons | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 9 : A team of Food Safety Officers and Drug Inspector of Drugs and Food Control Organization carried out a special drive for securing compliance of section-4 of the cigarette and other tobacco products (prohibition of advertisement and regulation of trade and commerce, production, supply and distributions Act-2003 today. The team prohibits smoking in a public place.
Twenty five persons were found smoking in a public place such as Railway Station and Bahu Palaza, Jammu and a fine of Rs.2510/- was realized from the violators. The team also installed signages at prominent public places displaying the warning "No Smoking Area.. ..Smoking Here is an Offence". |
