| Prominent personalities of Khanyar join PDP | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Mar 9: Several prominent personalities and workers of National Conference today joined Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP). Those who joined PDP include Farooq Ahmed Khan, Sajad Ahmed, Mushtaq Ahmed Bhat, Gh Nabi Mir, Showkat Ahmed Wani, Tariq Ahmed Sheikh haling from Bachidarwaza, Bhaudin Sahib and Maqdoom Sahib area of Khanyar, Shehar-e -Khas. Zonal President Khanyar Showkat Hafiz and PDP leader Sheikh Firdous Ahmed were present and spoke on this occasion. Welcoming them in the party fold secretary coordination PDP Ab Hameed Kosheen said that only PDP and its leadership has the vision for the development of the state, as it had proved in its brief period of government in which all the regions of the state were treated equally on economic, and developmental fronts. While as the present govt has failed to do so. He said having represented Srinagar in all the eight Assembly segments along with a member parliament at present , the city has been adjudged second dirtiest city in the country besides turning it into worlds fastest developing slum.. Stressing that the people of Srinagar have the right to ask these self styled representatives about the plight of the city which NC boosts of being their political bastion Kosheen also said that they have also the right to ask them that haven't they used the people of Srinagar for fulfilling their political hunger and lust for power thereby only strengthening their deteriorated domestic economic condition. |
