| Policeman shot at by suspected militants in Srinagar | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Mar 9 : A police constable was injured in a suspected militant attack outside a shrine in busy Hari Singh High Street area of the city today, officials said. Afraz Hussain, posted as personal security guard of a senior government official, was hit by two bullets in his thighs, the officials said. Hussain was rushed to a hospital. The officials suspect that it was a militant attack. The service weapon of the injured policeman has been sent for forensic examination to rule out the possibility of his rifle going off accidentally, they said.
