Jammu, Mar 9: A joint meeting the Soan Kashmir Fornt J&K Jathi Tenement committee and Mahila Front of Soan Kashmir was held under the President ship of S.L Pandita. The meeting was attended by the members and officer bearers of the committees.
Various issues were discussed in detail. In the meeting grave concern was expressed over the slackness of the authorities of Relief Organization (M) who have been extending cash assistance relief to a good number the false and fictitious migrants being non state subjects as well as those permanently putting up in Kashmir valley and getting unlawfully the cash assistance relief.
The members have said that Kashmiri Pandita community has been given a bad name due to the deeds of Relief organization. The numbers of such false and fictitious migrants comes to thousands in number. The members have said that time and again the authorities of Relief Organization had been apprised of the facts that various non state subjects as well as those putting in Kashmir valley have managed issuances of Ration cards under Relief category by false and fabricated means which needed immediate action but unfortunately nothing has been done in this regard with the result genuine migrants are put to sufferings.
The members have said that it is unfortunate some vested interested political leaders have been shelving such false and fictitious migrants for which camp commandants and Zone officers too are responsible. An appeal has been made to the Chief Minister and Revenue and Relief of Minister Commissioner Secretary Relief and Relief Commissioner for immediate stopping of the cash assistance relief in favour of such false and fabricated migrants to save the government exchequer from huge loss of its finances.
It has been appealed to the Government to initiate immediate steps in stopping the assistance to fictitious and fraudulently issued ration cards to save the government exchequer besides enhancing cash assistance relief to Rs 15000/- per month in favour of the genuine registered migrants.
The community is interested for their rehabilitation in Kashmir Valley provided safe and secured place is made available with one time compensation.
