| ESI enhances minimum amt for dependants' benefit | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 9: ESI Corporation, one of India's premier Social Security Organization has made a historic decision by enhancing the minimum amount of the periodical monthly payment of Dependants' Benefit payable to all eligible dependants of a deceased employee as Rs 1200 vide Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India gazette notification published on February 8. It has become applicable with effect from March 1. This progressive step has been taken to provide an appropriate amount to the dependants due to price rise.
Around 80,000 Dependants' of the deceased persons are being benefited with this new initiative of ESIC. |
