| PHD Chamber of Commerce celebrates Intn'l Women's day | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 9: In connection with the International Women's Day PHD Chamber of Commerce organized symposium in collaboration with Shiksha Niketan Senior Secondary School, Jeevan Nagar, Jammu. DR Dolly Barman, Additional Director General of Police J&K Jammu was the chief Guest. The function was presided over by Vikrant Kuthiala Chairman PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry State Committees.
Manju Rashid DIG (Retd) and Shashi Kohli Dy Divisional Warden Jammu were the Guests of honour and other members including ML Mathur, Kuldeep Gupta, Kulbushan Gupta and Deepak Daftari were also present.
Speaking on the occasion DR Dolly Barman highlighted the position of women around the Globe. She also stressed the power, patience, intelligence and her womanhood. She also emphasized the achievements in the society & some of the drawbacks & discrimination prevailing in the society yet to overcome. Speakers laid stress on the status of women. Later prizes were given to the winners by the chief guest.
First Prize was bagged by Isha Mahajan, Lecturer of Commerce and Rasvinder Kour won the second prize while third position was clinched by Minakshi Charak, two consolation prizes were also given to Shivalika and Rama Abrol respectively. |
