| NFB opens school for blind children at Baramulla | | | Baramulla, Mar 10: National Federation of Blinds today opened a School for blind children at Dewan Bagh Baramulla under the Sadhbavana Operation Programme.
District Development Commissioner, Baramulla, Bashir Ahmad Bhat, Army Officers and officials of the Federation were present there. On this occasion, 20 children have been registered against the identification of 52 children. The admitted children will be given all the facilities including boarding and lodging.
Meanwhile, the GOC, Bipin Rawat said he will provide financial assistance for the construction of Hostel and School buildings.
The District Development Commissioner while addressing the gathering assured that every possible help would be provided to the School authorities for the betterment of the blind students.
On the occasion, the children present a colourful cultural programme. |
