Red Cross Training Camp Concludes | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Mar 10: A 3-day First Aid Training Camp organized by Indian Red Cross Society J&K State Branch in collaboration with District Red Cross Society Udhampur concluded at Jagriti Oldage Home here today. General Secretary Indian Red Cross Society J&K State Branch, Feroz Ahmed was the chief guest on the occasion. General Secretary while addressing the volunteers said that Indian Red Cross works through "mobilizing the power of humanity" to provide support and solidarity among the victims of any calamities. Indian Red Cross is open to all individuals, who can find in the Red Cross "space" in which to come together to exercise their responsibility to assist others in the event of any causality and find solutions to community problems with the inner core of their hearts. He exhorted upon the volunteers to work for providing help hand to the needy persons beside maintaining peace and harmony irrespective of race, creed or political considerations and your are now capable to meet the need of disaster or other emergencies, he added. Secretary District Red Cross Society, Dr. V.P Sharma presented vote of thanks He said that as many as 35 volunteers imparted the special training in the camp belonging to Udhampur, Ramnagar, Majalta, Chenani and Panchari areas of the district. He urged for organizing such valuable training camps in the district to make volunteers more efficient in this respect. First Aid Kits and certificates were also distributed among the trainers on the occasion. Among others, Project coordinator, J&K Red Cross, Ashfaq Ahmad Mir, Project Officer Shazia Kowas, Dy CMO, Dr. Santosh Sharma, Patron Jagriti Oldage Home, Dr. R. C Nagar, Red Cross Life Members, volunteers and people at large were also present on the occasion. |
