Saveral political activists from Jammu, Kathua join PDP | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 10 : Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leaders today exhorted its workers to educate the people about various developmental projects initiated for the Jammu city during the PDP led regime in the state. PDP leaders were addressing a meeting of party workers at Paloura, organised by Ajay Ganjoo Shiva in which party patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed was also present. In presence of Mufti, PDP leaders said that it was high time to educate the masses about revolutionary steps which were taken by the PDP led regime in the state. They claimed that Mufti had set an example of good governance in the State and every regions and sub-region of the state were equally treated. They especially mentioned towards developmental projects started during that time. PDP leaders said that before 2002, there was acute shortage of drinking water in the Jammu West Assembly segment. "It was during the regime of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, a comprehensive water supply scheme, aided by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), was launched in the city", they said and added that new parks were developed during that period. PDP leaders called upon the party workers to educate the masses about these projects which was launched and completed during the regime of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. They asked the party workers that in the coming local body elections they to highlight its achievements. In the pubic meeting, prominent social activist Raj Kumar from Janipur joined PDP in the presence of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. Raj Kumar expressed faith in the leadership of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and Mehbooba Mufti. Senior party leader Daman Bhasin, Surjeet Kour, R K Bali, Bhutoo Khan, Mushtaq Ahmed and others also addressed the meeting. In another function veteran politician and social activist from Kathua, Gurparshad joined PDP in the presence of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. Over 100 people motivated by H L Bhagat also joined PDP. |
