ABVP demands resignation of Farooq Abdullah | CBI enquiry into Rs 50 crore JKCA scam | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 10: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad today has demanded resignation of Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Dr Farooq Abdullah and CBI inquiry into alleged financial scam worth Rs 50 crore in Jammu Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) headed by the latter. In a meeting held at ABVP state headquarters state secretary Raghav Sharma lambasting the state government said that as Farooq Abdullah is heading the JKCA when the scam took place, he is directly responsible for it. Sharma said that Dr Abdullah can't escape responsibility of the scam adding that for free and fair enquiry Farooq Abdullah should resign immediately. Sharma further said that the JKCA scam has exposed the corrupt NC government and it has also exposed that where the central funds are being utilized. He further said that by sacking JKCA general secretary Ahsan Mirza and Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Saleem Khan, JKCA is trying to shield the real culprits. Demanding immediate enquiry and arrest of the real culprits behind the scam, the ABVP warned the government that if it fails to do so, the Parishad will be forced to launch a state wide agitation. |
