Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President, Mehbooba Mufti today said that her party is pursuing with unwavering faith its mission of ensuring peace with dignity for the people of Jammu & Kashmir and would continue its struggle for the same. "Whether in or outside the Government, PDP has maintained a consistent policy on the issues concerning the political and economic welfare of the State and its people and would never compromis on it," she said.
Addressing the day-long party convention here today, Ms Mufti said the biggest asset of PDP is its growing credibility among the masses for having pursued a steady and stable policy on important political and economic issues concerning the people in all the regions of the State. "Whether in Srinagar, Jammu, Leh or New Delhi, the party has advocated the cause of the State and its people in unequivocal terms," she said and added that it is a matter of great satisfaction for PDP that the consistency of its approach on crucial issues is now being acknowledged widely by the people across the board.
Another senior PDP leader and Minister for PHE & Irrigation, Mohammad Dillawar Mir while addressing the convention said that the Government would take immediate measures for the speedy completion of all the ongoing water supply schemes in the far-flung areas of Reasi, Gool, Arnas and Gulabgarh and take up some new schemes also for execution to ensure supply of sufficient potable water to the area.

Political Secretary to PDP President, Mansoor Hussain said that credit goes to Mehbooba Mufti for traversing through the remotest areas of the State and reaching out to the people in every nook and corner to mitigate their sufferings. MLC Ved Mahajan and PDP General Secretary, Romesh Mottan also addressed the convention.
