| Muslim leaders Imams appeal for communal harmony | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 11: A prominent member of muslim community of Jammu and Imams of various Mosques of the city in a meeting held today under the Chairmanship of Haji Abdul Majiid ( Advocate and the national Secretary of All India Muslim Personal Law Board (Jadid) at Dar-Ui-Alloom, Pull Tawi, Jammu discuss and reviewed the unfortunate disturbance and communal violence in Rajouri town of Jammu division. Condemning the unwanted and provoking statements of VHP leader and Parveen Tagoria, speakers in the meeting unanimously stressed up on the state and central governments for a strict action against him. In order to avoid such happenings in future, strict action against the local organizers is also needed to be inhiated, they added. Leaders also appealed the local/state responsible leaders of both Hindu and Muslim communities for thier sincere efforts to calm the prevailing tension in the larger interest of our militancy hit state of Jammu & Kashmir. While addressing the meeting Haji Mojid said about the unlimited miseries and human loss during the unfortunate partition of 1947 and the recent militancy of last two decades and said that protection of communal harmony of the state need to be ensured at any cost. Commenting further, Haji Majid loudly said that there is no space for any religious exploitation or provacation at all participant of the meeting also appealed the religious leadership of Rajouri town in particular in come forward for the restoration of peace. Prominent, who attended the meeting were Mufti Basheer-ud-Din Mufti-e-Azam Jammu & Kashmir , Jb. Usman Salaria (Advocate), Moulana Shamas-ullah-khan, Kari Ali Akbar, Haji Wali Mohamad, Mmo ulana Farid Ahmad, Moulana Ali Hussain, Moulana Mohd, Aslam, Haji Fazal Ahmad, Moulana Ali Akbar and Ors. |
