| Madan Lal Sharma appeals for peace in Rajouri | | | Early Times Report
New Delhi, Mar 11: Madan Lal Sharma, Member Parliament Jammu - Poonch constituency showed his deep concern over the deteriorating situation in Rajouri.
He said more efforts on behalf of district administration are required to restore confidence among the people. He also appealed both communities to revive and remember the traditional secular character of Rajouri wherein Muslims welcome Holi and Janamashtami processions and Hindu throwing flowers on Eid and other religious gathering. He said that the both communities should come on joint talk and resolve the small issue in greater interest of Rajouri in particular and country in general.
He showed the concern over the daily bread earners who lack food stock and starving in curfew and students who are unable to go to school because of the situation.
He also asked district administration to respect the peace loving and fraternity boosting from both communities and to identify and discourage the tension among masses.
He also desired that government should intervene to avoid any further loss to the communal harmony of the area. |
