PDP assures honorable return of KP migrants

Jammu, Mar 11 In connection with its campaign to remove the trust deficit and to build the confidence, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today convened a meeting with Kashmiri Pandit migrants at Shanti Nagar near Top Sherkhanian.
Today's meeting was held to continue the inter-community dialogue in the state. PDP leaders namely Mohammad Dilawar Mir, Nizam ud Din Bhat, MLA, Gaffar Sofi, MLA and Qazi Mohammad Afzal. Ramesh Koul, S K Raina, Satish Thaploo and Ashok Siddha were the prominent Kashmiri Pandit leaders who attended the meeting. Speaking on the occasion, PDP leaders said that holding inter-community dialogue was a cultural necessity and there was a need to remove the trust deficit.
They said that problem of the Kashmiri Pandits was purely a humanistic problem and it should be solved with human approach.
PDP leaders assured the Kashmiri Pandits that their party was committed to the honourable return of KPs to their native place because they were part and parcel of the Kashmir.
Leaders of Kashmiri Pandits observed that it was need of the hour to work under the leadership of towering personality like Mufti Mohammad Sayeed to create conducive atmosphere for their return to their native places with honour and dignity.
Kashmiri Pandits leaders also expressed their faith in the leadership of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and said that exuded confidence that under able leadership of Mufti Sayeed conducive situation would be created for their honorable return and proper rehabilitation.
Pointing towards the problems being faced by the community, KP leaders said that State Government has done nothing to solve their problems.
They said that Prime Minister's Package was also not properly utilized and the government was not serious to solve their problems.In the public meeting some prominent leaders under the leadership of Vikram Singh joined PDP.
