2nd batch leaves for JU's Rafting course | | | Early times report JAMMU, Mar 11: The second batch, consisting of 48 students drawn from Post Graduate (PG) Departments and affiliated colleges of the University of Jammu, today left for participation in the week-long River Rafting and Kayaking Courses underway on Chenab River in district Reasi. The batch, which also included eight girls, was flagged off by Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, Prof Dhian Singh Bhau from the campus this afternoon. These students belong to Law School, Department of Law, Jammu Law College, Trikuta Degree College and Department of Buddhist Studies. Speaking to the students, Director briefed them about different aspects of the course and asked them to enjoy their time to the fullest by maintaining the discipline. He advised the participants to attend the training course both physically and mentally, so that they themselves become trainer in the near future. Meanwhile, Director Sports received the first contingent after completing their seven-day training course and congratulated them for the exposer of adventure sports. |
