| NSSO wins badminton title | | CGEWCC Sports Meet | | Early times report
JAMMU, Mar 11: National Sample Survey Organization (NSSO) clinched the badminton title in the ongoing sports meet of Central Government Employees Welfare Coordination Committee (CGEWCC) at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here today.
The ongoing sports meet is being organised under the overall supervision of Deputy Accountant General and working secretary of CGEWCC, JL Mina in collaboration with J&K Sports Council.
In the final, played today, NSSO outplayed Survey of India (SOI) 2-1 in the final. In first singles, Sunil Chakoo lost to Sanjeev Sharma 13-21, 09-21. Later, the pair of Mahesh Sharma and BS Jamwal outplayed Shashi Jamwal and Sanjeev Sharma in straight sets 21-19, 21-09. However, in deciding singles, Mahesh trounced Shashi Jamwal 21-16, 21-19 to help NSSO win 2-1.

Doubles: Shashi Jamwal and Sanjeev Sharma lost BB Choudhari and Surinder Mohan 19-21,13-21. Reverse singles: Sanjeev Sharma bt Surinder Mohan 21-10,21-12. |
