| Workshop on handicraft held | | | Udhampur, Mar 11: A day along awareness camp/workshop of Handicrafts artisians members of Cooperative Socities of Distt. Udhampur was held yesterday at Man-I. The camp was organized by the Dy. Registrar Induscos, Jammu with the collaboration of Industrial Cooperative Socities of Distt. Udhampur. The main objectives organizing such camps/workshop is to create awreness amongst the Aritisans/ Members of the Industrial Coop.
Socities and masses in generally especially the women folk about the schemes lunched by the state Govt, as well as Govt. og India. Vijay Kumari handicrafts training officer, Craft Instructors along with training and ex-trainees of the handicrafts department were also present in the awareness camp.
Speaking on the occasion Dy. Registrar stressed upon the artisians come forward and affiliate with Handicrafts Schemes. As this sector provides a vast opportunity of employment. Mansa Ram Sarpanch of the area also attended the camp and appreciated the efforts made by the Department for the Welfare of the peoples espicially the womes folk. |
