KP youth warn to launch agitation, say govt cheated community | Delay in Employment | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 11: Accusing the centre and state governments of cheating the community on the name of employment package the KP displaced youth today warned to launch agitation against the delaying tactics adopted by the government in implementation of PM's employment package of 6000 jobs for the displaced youth. The KP organizations are left with no alternative except to launch agitation for implementation of PM's employment package said RK Bhat president YAIKS. He said government has given an undertaking before National human Rights Commission during its hearing in New Delhi last year that the package will be implemented by December last year but till date nothing was done in this regard. This attitude of Government has led to a lot of resentment among the displaced Pandits in general and community youth in particular, he added. Bhat said the entire community feels cheated now with the government's hollow announcement as the youth who had filled up their forms three years back were waiting for the issuance of lists and they have also left their private jobs outside the state to serve in their state. But it appears that government was playing with the sentiments of displaced youth and this attitude will not be tolerated any more now. Supporting his views Ramesh Kumar another youth who has filled up his form three years back, said that it is not known that why government has adopted double standards on the package. On the one hand elements within administration are hell bent in sabotaging the package while on the other the government is making a propaganda that the community was not ready to return. In case the government is itself willing why is not in the first instance issuing the appointment orders for all the 6000 youth under PM's package. With its implementation 6000 families will automatically return to valley, he added. But delaying tactics adopted by some elements within the administration is indication of some thing fishy going within the corridors of power and a section within the administration in league with separatists does not want the package be implemented in letter and spirit so they have created barriers, said Ramesh. Same were the views of R L Dhar another KP youth who had left a private job at Chandigarh to work in his motherland. ``I had come here with this expectation that I will get an opportunity to get a job within my state but for over a year I have been waiting as my name was in waiting list but it appears that government is not sincere in releasing the list'' He said the community youth was shocked to hear that government has decided to readvertise the 800 deresrved posts which is nothing but delay the process by another year, he added. |
