| CM honours Prof. Sharma with gold medal | | |
JAMMU, JANUARY 22
Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad presented a gold medal, cheque for Rs. 51000 and citation to Prof. R. R. Sharma for the year 2002 for his contribution to the promotion of higher education as an outstanding educationist at Civil Secretariat here today.
Minister for Health and Medical Education Mr. Mangat Ram Sharma, Minister for Rural Development Mr. Jugal Kishore Sharma, Chief Secretary Mr. C. Phunsog, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Anil Goswami, Vice Chancellor Jammu University Prof. Amitabh Mattoo and Commissioner/Secretary General Administration Mr. K. A. Ganai were also present on the occasion.
Citation read out on the occasion by Commissioner/Secretary General Administration says that Prof. Sharma has a teaching and research experience of over 30 years. He was a visiting fellow of University of Sweden. He has been a life member of several professional and academic organizations including Association of Commonwealth Universities. He was a visiting scholar in the Academy of Science, Moscow in 1987 and 1990. The Government of Jammu and Kashmir awards gold medal to Prof. Sharma for his contribution to the promotion of higher education as an outstanding educationist. |
