BJYM demands disbanding of JKCA | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 12: Jammu-Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) should be immediately disbanded and enquiry is initiated by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). A demand to this effect was made by BJYM State President Munish Sharma while addressing the yuva morcha protestors outside Moulana Stadium at Jammu on Monday. Munish Sharma said that the latest surfacing of Rs. 50 crore scandal in Jammu-Kashmir Cricket Association is one more example of how every high up in the State is indulging in corrupt practices and looting the public money. He said that the JKCA should be immediately disbanded and the case be handed over to the CBI as State's Crime Branch as well as lost the credibility in dealing with the corrupt elements. Munish Sharma said that JKCA already got diluted when all the top posts were filled from among the leaders of ruling party in the state. He said that those at the helm of affairs in JKCA are neither having expertise in cricket nor encouraged any upcoming player from a common family. He said that there is no doubt too much potential in the state and maximum youth prefer cricket to play but just blue-eyed persons have been getting benefits ignoring the much talented ones. Sharma said that there has been attempts to shield the real culprits by registration of FIRs against just two persons and added that this is mere an eye-wash to save the big fish involved such a big scandal. He declared that the BJYM activists will further intensify their agitation in case JKCA is not disbanded and enquiry handed over to CBI. Earlier, BJYM activists also burnt the effigy of JKCA president and chairman. Vijay Choud hary, Sanjay Baru, Vipan Shastri, Ajay Vaid, Adarsh Bhagat, Surinder Choudhary, Praduman Singh, Sunil Dogra, Ajeet Angral, Sheetal Singh, Sachin Gupta, I.D. Singh, Karunesh Gupta, Vikas Sharma, Jaideep Samyal, Ishan Gupta, Chetan Manhas, Rajkaran Sharma, Raj Kumar, Rajeshwar Singh, Ritesh Gupta, Bal Khajuria, Onkar Singh, Banu Jasrotia, Sunil Kumar, Supreet Kailash and others took part in the protest demonstration. |
