| Soz appeals for maintaining communal harmony in Rajouri | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Mar 12 : State Congress President, Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz Monday expressed serious concern over the situation in Rajouri.
In a statement, he said, "I feel very sad on the recent development in Rajouri (Jammu) where sectarian passions rose to heightened tension due to an inflammatory speech by VHP leaders.
Jammu and Kashmir is a model secular and democratic polity and all communities have been living harmoniously for ages." "In Rajouri both communities are living in an atmosphere of harmony and peace, inspite of certain provocations.
I would sincerely appeal members of both communities to help in restoring peace and normalcy," he added.
Soz hop ed that the peace loving people of the region will response positively to my appeal for maintaining harmony in the region. |
