Court frames charges against PoK national in fake IC case | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 13: Principal sessions judge, Poonch, Kishore Kumar has framed charges against a PoK national for possessing fake Indian currency (IC) notes. The charges were framed against Amjid Hussain Shah, son of Naseeb Hussain Shah of Pindi Gali, Mahajir Colony, near Fatehpur in Kotli, PoK, under section 489-C of RPC. He had come from PoK on March 5 last to meet his relatives at Mendhar in Poonch. He was stated here up to April 2, 2012. He was admitted to bail by the committal court with certain conditions. Since the stay of the accused was valid only up to April 2, the trial of the case was desirable to be concluded at the earliest. It was only possible if the trial was conducted on day to day basis. The court also directed SSP, Poonch, "to ensure that the accused does not involve himself in anti-India activities and shall not leave the territorial jurisdiction of this court without its prior permission. The accused shall surrender the original LoC entry permit before the SSP till further court orders". He was also directed to ask the IO to produce the witnesses as per calendar without any fail so that the trial of the case was completed within the said period. |
