| Huge haul of IMFL illegally smuggled recovered | | | Early Times Report
KATHUA Mar 13: The alert staff of Toll Post Lakhanpur under the able supervision of Dy. Excise Commissioner, Toll Post Lakhanpur Dr Mushtaq Ahmed along with Excise & Taxation officers made a huge seizure of 329 cases (3806 bottles) of IMFL concealed beneath Vegetables loaded in the truck.
According to the reports following tip off the team of P S Chib, Sohan Lal, Alyas Khan, Gurmohan Singh and G L.Sharma (Inspectors), in active coordination of Chanchal Singh, Station House Officer (SHO) laid a trap and intercepted a truck (HR37-7288). "The team durng the inspection found 329 cases of IMFL concealed under the vegetables, the reports said further adding that driver Balwinder Singh S/o Ajmanger Singh R/o Vill Douan Teh Mohali Chandigarh and his associate Amit Singh S/O Sher Singh R /O Douan Pind Teh Mohali have been questioned in this regard, they added.
Reports said that the seizure of IMFL along with accused and seized Truck was handed over to Inspector Excise Sub-range Kathua for further necessary action under Law. Dy. Excise Commissioner, Toll Post Lakhanpur, have appreciated the efforts of the staff of the Toll Post Lakhanpur and police |
