BJP concerned over price hike | | | Early Times Report Kishtwar Mar 13: An emergency meeting of BJP was held here today under the chairmanship of its district president Hukam Chand Shan in which a great resentment was shown on the price rise of all essential commodities. He said that the government had failed to control price hike and corruption. There was an urgent need to control the prices of essential commodities, he added.Shan said a rally would be held in the district to apprise the government of the effects of price hike on common masses.Shan urged the government to give employment to the unemployed youth of Kishtwar in all the power projects which were under construction in the district. "It has been observed that only the blue eyed and influential persons are given employment in the power projects here, including Ratlee project, while the poor and deserving ones are not recruited," he claimed. He said though there were number of trained engineers in the district who had sufficient experience in their respective fields, they had been ignored. In their place, youth were hired from outside the state, he claimed. |
