Awareness camp on herbal tree plantation held | | | Jammu, Mar 13: Ayurvedic Society for Health Awareness (ASHA) the only NGO working for the meaningful and purposeful practice and perception of Ayurveda in the state organized awareness camp along with herbal tree plantation at Institute of Natural Health, Ved Mandir, Jammu. The function was part of World Wide Fund (WWF) campaign 'Forests for Sustainable Livelihood'. On the occasion large number of prominent citizens including Ved Ghai, Ram Ptatap, T.R.Gupta, Satya Gupta, Amritsagar Gupta, B M Kohli, Priyvrat Ghai, K.K.Rawal, Nirmal Singh Rawal participated in the function. H.N.Patwari, Director of the institute welcomed the dedicated team of ASHA. Ved Ghai, prominent social activist and chairperson of the institute, appreciated collaboration between 'Ayurvedic professionals' and members of civil society for their meaningful and purposeful initiative for revival of ancient wisdom in the larger interests of ailing masses. Vikram Gour, general secretary of the ASHA assured that in due course of time larger segments of civil society are being involved in the process of health awareness based on Ayurveda. As many as 15 herbal plants were planted in the compound of Institute of Natural Health. |
