Theatre plays held | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 13: North Zone Cultural Centre Patiala organized the shows of Punjabi plays 'Toya' & 'Rahat' directed by famous Punjabi theatre director Sahib Singh at various villagers of distt. Samba. The rural audience of villages' i.e. Fadyali, Deon, Paddal, Sangar, Sandi, Daker, Panjoa, Meghnal, Talar enjoyed the performances of professional artists. The team also performed both the plays at the campus of Jammu University in front of large gathering of students and teachers. The play 'Toya' depicted the plight of poor Indian people who are going down and down into the pit of poverty and nobody cares for them. The play 'Rahat' shows the insensibility of administration and politicians towards the masses when some natural disasters like flood or draught happen. All the actors Sahib Singh, Surinder Singh, Vinod Kumar, Sarvesh Sharma, Baninderjit Singh Buny, Mani and Navdeep acted with ease and perfection. The effort of North Zone Cultural Centre to reach to the remote villagers of the Jammu with strong theatre is praiseworthy. |
