JAMMU , Mar 13 : The Junior section of Lawrence Public School held sports day in the school premises. The stint commenced with the melodious welcome song by the students of class 2nd followed by the welcome of the esteemed Chief Guest, Wg Cdr M.M Joshi, Chairman Lawrence Public School and the guest of honour Shaluntla Joshi. Large number of students participated in the different sports competition including sack race, three legged race, lemon spoon race, monkey and banana race, butterfly race, clean and win, drop by drop and flat race that filled the ground with clapping, cheering and applause. The Chief guest appreciated the endeavour of making the children independent, competitive & involved in sports activities. He congratulated the winners and advised others not to lose hope, as there is always a next time. The winners in different competitions were - Danish, Azahar , Sufia from class Nursery, Bareen, Ronik, Apoorva from class LKG, Arbaz, Arpit, Aalya from class UKG, Anirudh, Umesh, Fiza from class 1st, Laden, Vishal, Ulfat from class 2nd, Priyanka, Janaat, Rahul from class 3rd, Rajwardhan, Devraj, Prerna from class 4th. The programme ended with the vote of thanks proposed by the junior school in charge, Shivani. It was followed by the National Anthem. |
