| RTI for reasons ofnon-updation filed | | Caution: HTTP://JAMMUKASHMIR. NIC.IN/ under construction | | early times report
Jammu, Mar 14: On December 6, 2010 Early Times filed a report titled `JK'sofficial website HTTP://JAMMU KASHMIR.NIC.IN/is off the net'. Fifteenmonths down the line, the `vital' website continues to be in the process ofupdation. Annoyed by the defunct website, noted RTI activist Raman Sharma hasmoved an application under RTI Act seeking reasons for the prolonged non-updation.The application has been filed through Public Information Officer, General Administration Department and Civil Secretariat Jammu. In his RTI plea, theactivist has asked the name of the department and officers responsible fornon-updation of the website for such a long time and also the amount of moneyspent by the department for creation of this site. In his plea, he hasrequested the PIO to provide details of the present status of the website andthe time in which the webpage will be renewed again. Giving details aboutthe RTI application, Sharma informed that he has filed RTI application on09/March/2012. He hoped that his RTI application will yield positive result andsoon the website would be renewed.
