| Police arrests GI pipe thief | | |

The district police on a complaint lodged by the AEE, of PHE department regarding the theft of GI pipes by same miscreants some days back.
As per reports police started investigating the matter and in course of investigation approached one scrop dealer namely Rasool Wachkoo son of Subham Wachkoo of Dhosa, Doda and recovered the stolen piped, which were turned into scrop, weighing one quintal and 60 kgs from his possession. During questioning he disclosed that one employee of PHE department namely Nazir Ahmed R/o Puneja Bhaderwah (daily wager) had sold pipes to him. Nazir Ahmed is absconding. Further investigation of the case is going on and efforts are on for the arrest of absconding accused besides identifying other such elements who are involved in such offences. A case under F.I.R No. 13/2007, under section 379 RPC was registered at police station Bhaderwah.
