Shiv Sena protests price hike of essential commodities

A protest rally was taken at against the department of xonsumer affairs an d public distribution by the activist of J&K branch of Shiv Sena here today.
The activists were raising slogans against the department for its failure in controlling the price hike of essential commodities, beside critized the functioning of vpa govt. which has totally failed on all fronts.
Ashok Gupta, general secretary of Shiva Sena who led the rally, said of Shiv Sena who led the rally, said that Onion, Potato, and other vegetables including pulses have touched the sky. He said middle class and a poor man is unable to purchase the essential commodities for survival, and added, no ration is available at Ration Depots which includes K.Oil
Gupta said that UPA Govt. while taking the regions of Govt. assured the public that the prices of essential commodities shall be put under control so that no poor is subjected to sufferings. But the promises of UPA Govt. subjected to sufferings. But the promises of UPA govt. seems quite hollow and demanded immediate control over the price hike of essential commodities he lashed out at CA & PD department for not releasing ration to the Ration Depot holders of Jammu city when depot holders have deposited money 15 days earlier due to this callous attitude consumers are facing lot of problems. Gupta said CA &PD department has given contract to some desired mill owners of their choice for supply of Atta, but failed to make the regular supply to the consumers. He urged upon the CA & PD minister to take immediate steps for mitigating the demands of public by providing supply of ration well in time, and checking of price hikes of essential commodities so that no poor is crushed under price hike. Amongest others who spoke includes Sh. Suresh Kumar Tarseem Lal, Darshan Lal Gupta, Parshotam, Pinka, Rajeev Bandhari and others.
