| Jugal elected unopposed to Upper House | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, MAR 15: Jugal Kishore Sharma was today declared elected unopposed as Member Legislative Council as there was no other candidate in the fray. The Returning Officer, Secretary J&K Legislative Assembly announced the declaration of Sharma today after the last date of withdrawal. Soon after declaration to Upper House, a large number of supporters of elected representative Sharma and some senior leaders of the party led him towards the PCC headquarters at Shaheedi Chowk, Jammu. He was received by large number of workers and senior functionaries of the PCC and garlanded amongst raising slogans in favour of the Congress party and senior leaders. Addressing the workers out side the PCC Headquarter Jugal Kishore Sharma expressed his heartiest gratitude towards party high command for his selection as a partycandidate as Member Legislative Council. He however assured party high commandand party activists to come up to their expectations by serving to the best ofhis capacity and capability. Earlier Senior Vice President Dharam Pal Sharma congratulated Jugal on his becoming MLCand hoped that he would strengthen the party and serve the people to the bestof ability. Prominents enior leaders of the party including Senior Vice President Dharam Pal Sharma, Th Hari Singh, S Gurmukh Singh, Ghulam Nabi Monga (Vice Presidents); Ravinder Sharma-MLC & Spokesperson, Vinod Sharma, Rani Gargi Biloria (General Secretaries); Suman Lata, Ch Gharu Ram (Ex-Ministers) and president of district Congress Committees. |
