Jammu, Mar 16:Noted writer Kewal Krishan Sharma's latest Hindi book 'Aatam Hatya
Samasya Aur Sama dahan' was released at K L. Saigal Hall here today. Organised by J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages the release function was presided over by noted litterateur and President Dogri Sanstha, Jammu, Lalit Magotra. Expressing his views on the occasion Magotra said that he was highly impressed with the quality of literature being produced by local writers. Lauding the role of Academy he said that the institution should keep on supporting literary events. In his remarks, chief guest, Jitendra Udha mpuri impressed upon the writers' community that they should continue writing literature as it is through writing that writers stay relevant. Earlier welcoming the guests, Aca demy's additional secretary, Savita Bakshi said that as a literary institution Academy has been contributing its bit to furtherance of quality literature and would keep on doing so. Shiv Nirmohi, who participated as guest of honour, lauded the efforts of the Academy and said that by releasing books of local authors the Academy is very adroitly discharging its responsibilities. A number of literary figures representing various shades of opinion attended the function. The programme proceedings were conducted by research assistant, Dogri, Yash Paul Nirmal while senior editor Hindi, Neeru Sharma presented the vote of thanks |
