| Rousing welcome accorded to MLC Jugal Kishore on his arrival in Katra | | | Early Times Report
KATRA,Mar 16: A warm and rousing welcome was accorded to Jugal Kishore Sharma newly elected member to Upper House on his arrival to the Katra- here today. A large number of locals drawn Katra, Reasi and adjoining areas welcomed him and garlanded. Soon after his arrival in holy town MLC Jugal Kishore Sharma visited centuries old Maa vaishno bhoomika temple, and offered his prayers to the deity. Thereafter the supporters of ex minister and senior congress leader was led him in the shape of procession which passed through Hansali ward, upper bazar, main bazaar where he was garlanded. Some supporters even showered flower petals upon him while some distributed sweets among people to express their happiness on his unopposed election to the Upper House.
To surprise everyone displaying modesty and rising about the party rivalries/politics, MLC Jugal Kishore called MLA Reasi Baldev Sharma maternal uncle on the dais in a welcome ceremony organized at Bus Stand Katra.
In his address Jugal Sharma reiterated his commitment for the upliftment of the people and development in the area. Amidst sloganeering in favour of party and in his praise, Jugal Sharma thanked people who have come from remotest areas of Reasi to welcome him in his home town Earlier MLA Reasi Baldev Sharma in his address reassured about his comments regarding another stalwart of opposition party with MLC status in the same Reasi constituency in general and residents of same Katra area. MLA Reasi Sharma termed as it is good sign of development for the Reasi constituency as he being MLA Reasi, would not hesitate and co-operate with newly elected MLC Jugal Kishore on any developmental issue related with the progressive cause of Reasi constituency and his people.
Among prominent who addressed included Ex- minister Ch Garu Ram, Ashwani Khajuria, Mulk Raj Purohit, Ambrish Magotra, Krishan Singh. Speakers expressed their faith and gratitude towards Holy Goddess Vaishno Devi and said it could not be possible only with the blessings of 'Maa Vaishno.' Ex-President Municipal committee Katra Ambrish Magotra called it a happiest moment for us as once again our leader has been nominated to serve not only the people of Reasi constituency but whole of Jammu province. |
