| Petition for quashment of State | | | | JAMMU, Mar 16: In a petition filed by Rashid Ahmed to quash government order No 127-GAD of January 25, 2012, issued by GAD commissioner about the conferment of State Awards to outstanding sportsmen and also consider his name for the award, Justice Mansoor Ahmed Mir of high court today issued noticed to the state through financial commissioner (home), principal secretary to government, industries and commerce department, principal secretary to chief minister, ADGP (CID), vigilance commissioner, GAD commissioner, secretary sports council and private respondents returnable within one week. After hearing the counsel for the petitioner, Justice Mir ordered that in the meantime, government order No127-GAD of January 25, 2012, so far it related to sports category, was kept subject to outcome of this CMP. |
