| Wani criticize implementation of Roshni Act | | | JAMMU | JAN 22
The allegation leveled by the state Govt. against the poor people of the state that they have constructed residential house and Khokhas on Nazol Pand is totally fake, said Mohd Yousaf Wani, president of J&K state Samaj Sudhar committee at a press conference here today.
Wani said, collecting money under Roshni Act from the poor people is not a healthy sign. These poor people are not in a position to make the payment, as they are living hand to mouth Wani said and added that it shows that the Govt. is bent upon to uproot the families under Roshni act. He said Govt. commitment for the upliftment of poor people of the state is doing only a lip service. He imaged upon the Govt. to stop collecting money from the poor people. He said rich people who have grabbed the Nazol land are in a position to compensate under the act he said implementation of Roshni Act on poor people is in human act.
He urged upon the government to look into the problems of poor people and don’t give false and baseless assurance but do some thing for their betterment.
Among others who were present in the press conference were Mohd. Sadiq Humian, Mohan Choudhary, Bupinder Singh, Ram Lal, Nand Lal, Abdul Rashid, Qayoom, Ajub, Shamsher Singh and Naveen Gupta.
