Tar Singh to fast for another three days

Jammu, Mar 17: Tar Singh shall go on fast once again for three days w.e.f from March 26 till March 28, 2012. Once again we will approach all the MLAs irrespective of party affiliation to highlight our just demands like ownership rights and the record note/notification through which the Custodian Department is taxing and harassing the helpless tenants be abolished and the tenants should be allowed to undertake repair work or renovation.
EP Tenants Welfare Society office bearers held a meeting here Wednesday wherein the future strategy and planning was formulated and resolved after the thread bare deliberations.
The recent Dharna staged by the society on March 05 was a big success and the just demand of ownership rights on the E.P and B.C. houses was highlighted outside and within the ongoing assembly sessions and we are thankful to all those who stood with us and the MLAs of respective parties namely B.J.P, Panthers Party and State Morcha conveyed Inder Mohinder Tar Singh President EPTWS.
Further, a seminar shall be organised in the month of April 2012 and intellectuals, political parties, NGOs, Chamber Of Commerce, respective trade unions, traders associations and others shall be invited for the deliberations so that our just demands are highlighted on the right platform and the involvement of masses from all walks of life may understand our grievances and show solidarity with us as we the tenants are helpless and our fourth generation is suffering and undergoing slavery of the custodian department and we want our slavery should end once for all and the said department should be wound up immediately mentioned Tar Singh.
We urge upon Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to use his good office and show dynamism by accepting our just demands so that we lose the chains of slavery.
The first Annual General Body Meeting of EPTWS shall be held in the month of August 2012 and the regular mohallas meetings shall be held on Sundays informed Tar Singh. Those who attended and participated during the deliberations are Suraj Prakash Sharma (Chairman), Nazir Ahmed (Sr. Vice President), Sat Pal Saini (Gen. Secy.), Ramesh Sharma (Secy.) and Rattan Lal (Treasurer).
