| JKNPP to reach PMO for intervention in Rajouri case | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 17: The emergency meeting of the secretariat of JKNPP strongly condemned the brutal behaviour of NC government to suppress the democratic, legitimate and civil rights of the people of Rajouri.
The JKNPP held NC-Congress governments guilty of using brutal force against the civilians, children, women and other persons in utter violation of rule of law.
The coalition government has converted Rajouri District as a prison by banning the entry of all political activists and media persons include Rajouri and Poonch from the highway entry from Jammu, Reasi district slapping a nasty, authoritarian and highly provocative order dated 14.3.2012.
This order was issued to ban the entry of JKNPP leaders into Rajouri who were illegally detained in Sunderbani Dak Bunglow for more than 24 hours before pushed back to Jammu District.
They included Anita Thakur (state general secretary), Shakti Gupta (president PTU) and Pushvinder Singh Manhas (sr. vice-president Young Panthers). The Panthers Party has already challenged the legality of the order before the Chief Justice of J&K High Court through a Letter/PIL singed by Bhim Singh.
The Panthers Party shall call on the Prime Minister this evening in Delhi seeking immediate intervention of the Prime Minister to end the present draconian, anti-people, communal, corrupt and authoritarian government. JKNPP demands immediate imposition of Governor Rule, dissolution of the Assembly so that the people of J&K shall elect their representative afresh.
The Panthers Party is dispatching a high power delegation of legislators and senior NPP leaders on 18th March 2012 which shall be led by Harsh Dev Singh, leader of the Legislature Party and Working Chairman. The delegation shall also include senior members of the Secretariat.
The Panthers Party reiterates its decision to launch a massive social boycott of the Congress Legislators w.e.f. 15th April 2012 if they did not withdraw support to the corrupt and authoritarian government. The JKNPP shall seek universal support of the people of J&K by adopting a massive resolution in this regard on the 30th Panthers Party Foundation Celebrations which shall be held on 23rd March, 2012 at the historic city of Samba. Several Samba veterans shall be honoured. |
