Theory of robbery fails in Chopra Murder case.
Guna suspects yield nothing to police
1/22/2007 11:55:49 PM

JAMMU | JAN 22
The special police team investigating into the Chopra Murder Case has been disproved further as yet another theory propounded by it has come unstuck.
The SIT had arrested three gangsters from Madhya Pradesh on the apprehension that they were responsible for executing the murder of Chopra family in Jammu. However, it has failed to get anything substantial from three persons belonging to the Pardi tribe.
According to sources, in order to solve the sensational Chopra Murder Case, police had arrested three gangsters of Kala Kacha Gang namely Mahesh alias Maheshi, Rushi both sons of PremDa and Vennder son of Rupa, all residents of Khejra of District Guna, Madhya Pradesh and they were brought to Jammu for interrogation.
Police had also produced them before the court and they were remanded for 10 days which is ending on January 20.
However, despite stern interrogation of the suspects, the SIT has failed to connect them with the murders, moreover no important information has been elicited from them.
However, police maintains that all three had visited the winter capital of the state in the same month in which the sensational murder case was reported. This is one of the possible reasons for the police to relate the murder with robbery as the sole motive behind the blind murder case.
It is pertinent to mention here that, some years back Kala Kachha gang had created an atmosphere of terror and various cases of robbery and murders were reported.
It is to mention here that in the intervening night of September 17 some unknown persons murdered cement tycoon Rajinder Bushan Chopra alias Raju Chopra, son of Late Hari Ram Chopra, resident of house number 38/3 Trikuta Nagar, his wife Madhu Chopra, Daughter Saloni Chopra BA part 1st student of Government College for Women Parade, Driver Som Nath and Domestic Servant Ramu. The murderer absconded away taking the Alto car of Chopra Family.
