DYSS XI lose to JKAP XI in Police Martyrs' Cup

JAMMU , Mar 17: Jammu and Kashmir Armed Police XI today registered a big seven wickets win over Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) XI to advance in the ongoing 2nd Police Martyrs' Memorial T20 Cricket Cup underway at MA Stadium, here.
Batting first after winning the toss, DYSS XI made 143 runs for the loss of five wickets.
Ashu was the top scorer with 53-ball 70 runs, including 11 boundaries, while Madan and PankaJ contributed 24 and 12 runs respectively.
Ashwani and Ishtiaq took two wickets each from JKAP while Yasir bagged one.
In reply, JKAP reached the required target in just 17.3 overs losing three wickets thereby won the match by seven wickets. Shashi played a magnificent innings of unbeaten 74 runs in 49 balls, including seven boundaries, while Yasir and Naresh contributed 40 and 20 runs respectively.
Rakesh Koul , Pankaj and Parveen took one wicket each from DYSS XI. For his all -round display, Shashi was adjudged man of the match.
Today's matches were officiated by JDSingh, Yogesh as umpires.
