Govt formulates plan for face lifting of State: Bhalla | | | early times report JAMMU, Mar 17- Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Raman Bhalla has said that Government has already formulated a massive development plan for the face lifting of every corner of the State adding that providing road connectivity to all hilly and far-off areas on high agenda of the present regime. This was stated by the Minister while interacting with the inhabitants of Raika after inspecting ongoing construction work of link road, here today. Bhalla said that Government was committed to provide all basic facilities to the inhabitants of Raika, Rahim Nagar and Bandhian villages like road connectivity, school, power, drinking water, health besides better lanes and drains. He said Government has earmarked Rs. 86 lakh for construction of link road, deep drain, modernization of nallah and lanes and drains. The Minister said that WBM work from main NH road to Kargil House-Raika village is on final stage and blacktopping work on the road would be started on the onset of mecademisation season. He asked the accompanied R&B engineers to complete all the allied works on the project well before the start of macadamization of the link road. To deal with drinking water scarcity in Raika remote village, Bhalla said Government has approved Rs. 4.49 crore under Water Supply Scheme Raika to meet the drinking water requirement of Raika, Rahim Nagar and Bandian areas adding that laying of water supply pipes is under progressing in the area and would be completing by the end April this year. Regarding construction of 50000 gallon storage capacity reservoir, the Minister said the project could be started after getting NoC from Forest Department. At Bandhu Rakh, the construction work of four lanes was started in the presence of the Minister, for which Government has earmarked Rs. 4 lakh. |
