Best film awards announced | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU , Mar 17: The J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages today announced the much awaited results of best film competition awards 2010-11. Making the announcement commissioner / secretary, tourism and culture and secretary Academy, Atal Dulloo said that the prestigious film awards would be presented by President Academy (chief minister) at a function to be held shortly. Pertinently, the coveted state film awards are being given by the Academy on annual basis in two categories - fiction and non fiction. For 2010-11 non fiction category, the best film award of Rs 25,000/- has gone to Big Fund Production's flick 'Quality of life'. Second best film award of Rs 20,000/- has been bagged by Mohiudin Mirza's film 'Five Chiras Flat' while Tricorn Odeon productions 'Calimondy revisted' has bagged third best film prize of Rs 15,000/- In the fiction category Krishna communications 'Auqat' bagged the best film prize of Rs 25,000/- while Mushtaq A. Baba's 'Purana Ghar' and Nanak Video Communications 'Hatchu Ichdar' bagged the second and third best film prize of Rs 20,000/- and Rs 15,000/- respectively. In the best director category Rahul Sharma has been adjudged as best director for 'Auqat'. He would get a cash prize of Rs 20,000/-. Best actor (male) award has gone to Pankaj Khajuria for 'Auqat' while best actor (female) award has been bagged by Neelam for 'Hatchu Ichdar'. |
