JAMMU , Mar 17 : Kashmiri students shine in Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh organized Cultural Extravaganza "ROSHAAN" at Punjab Kala Bhawan, Sector-16, Chandigarh. Usha R Sharma, IAS, Commissioner, Technical Education, Punjab was the chief guest on the occasion. Dr Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over the function. Students of MBA, B.Tech, BBA, BCA & B.Ed students presented bhangra, giddha, group dances, western dance, Punjabi dance, fusion, skits, mime, Bollywood Style, folk dance, solo songs, solo dance, etc.. The function commenced with the lamp lighting ceremony by the Chief Guest followed by Sai. In his inaugural speech, Sharma said that such events are necessary in the professional institutions as they instill confidence and sense of responsibility in the students. Kashmiri student Mohd. Azhar Uddin and group presented Kashmiri dance while SRK Special performed by Faaiz and group performed, Avneet and group presented a dance on 'Kolaveri Di'. Girls Bhangra under the leadership of Iram and party enthralled the audience, Kashmiri dance by Jahangir and group, Medley Comedy by Pawan brought the audience onto their heels. Mime dance presented by Sukanto and Group, was the centre of attraction. On the other hand, Punjabi group dance by Geeta and group, Punjabi Dance Boys by Amanpreet and group, Rajasthani folk by Kamini and group, Fusion by Pooja and Party by Vikas and group ,comedy fusion by Kshitiz and group, Hip Hop by Neeraj and group, dance Performance on 'Desi Boys' by Deepak and party brought the audience to their toes. The audience was on their toes during the Punjabi dance "Sab toh Sohna Bhangra" under the leadership of Gurvinder where as Sumandeep & Group Presented "Beautiful Giddha" and many others. Also present on the occasion were Prof. D. C. Kataria, vice - chairman, Aryans Group; Rajni Kataria, Treasurer, Aryans Group; Dr. Parveen Kataria, Director General, Aryans Group; Dr.Manjula Kataria, Principal, Aryans College of Education; Dr. P B Mahapatra, Director, Aryans College of Engineering and many others. |
