Pathers stopped on Jammu-Rajouri High Way, detained | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 18: Delegation of National Panthers Party NPP while moving forward to Rajouri with the Message of Peace and brotherhood has been detained by the cops. Nearly 50 activists of JKNPP were stopped on Jammu-Rajouri highway while driving to strike on Rajouri town since rajouri has been under Curfew for the past 14 days. The high power delegation comprising all NPP legislators led by NPP's working Chairman, Harsh Dev Singh, MLA and leaders of the party including Balwant singh mankotia, State president, Yashpal kundal, Sayed rafiq Shah, Anita Thakur, H.C. Jalmeria, Gen. Secty. (NPP) Daljit singh, Pushvinder manhas, senior Vice-president of Young Panthers, K.S. Bedi, Rajinder singh, and others were proceeding to district Rajouri to meet the residents with an appeal to maintain peace and brotherhood. Hundreds of armed policemen invaded the Panthers caravan on border of Rajouri District about 100 kms away from Jammu city. Harsh Dev Singh who was leading the peace delegation accused the state Government for its discriminatory act and demanded immediate dismissal of the Government which is responsible to create communal flare up in Rajouri. In a statement issues to media sources from Chauki Chora police station he said that nexus between NC Government and the trouble makers in Rajouri has been established that is why Government did not allow the Panthers Party to meet the people with a message of peace. The National High way stand blocked for the past three hours. |
